From the outside you've got it together.

Inside, it can feel like a different story. See if any of this sounds familiar.

Greetings from
Texas

Pushing harder has always been the answer. Lately, it's the very thing making it worse. Maybe you're running a company. Maybe you're a creative with a lot going on beneath the surface, or a leader everyone turns to when something goes wrong. You've built something impressive. But behind it all, you're feeling anxious, disconnected, and burned out.

If several of these felt familiar, that's reason enough.

"You don't have to wait until something breaks to get support for what you're already carrying."

You don't have to be falling apart to come in

Most of the people I work with waited longer than they needed to. Not because things were fine, but because they were still functioning. And that bar keeps moving. There's always a worse version you can point to.

Part of the reason is that control has worked for you. Perfectionism isn't a flaw in the system. It's how the system runs. And asking for help can feel like admitting that, for once, being capable and figuring it out aren't enough.

Not broken. Extremely good at surviving.

Somewhere along the way, your nervous system learned that staying switched on was the safest option. So it kept doing what it learned to do, long after the original threat had passed.

Then the bill comes due. Sleep stops feeling restorative. Your chest gets tight. Your mind won't shut off. And you can't discipline your way out of a nervous system that's still acting like you're in danger.

There's nothing wrong with you. Your body got really good at staying on guard. Now it needs to learn that it doesn't have to anymore.

What working together looks like

I'll push you when you need it, and give you somewhere you can be messy and human without managing anyone else's feelings about it.

Talk + body-based work

EMDR and nervous system work for the things that don't always shift just because you understand them.

Before we start

What I'll ask of you

01

Effort

I'll bring my best to this, and I'll meet your effort with effort. If I think you're getting in your own way, I'll tell you. Kindly, but I will.

02

Consistency, not perfection

Especially at the beginning, coming in consistently gives us something to work with. Think of it like the gym, you don't go once and expect to feel different. Some weeks you'll feel like you're making progress. Other weeks, not so much. It still adds up.

03

Honesty over performance

Not ready to talk about something? Tell me. I'd rather know where you actually are than have you tell me what you think you should be saying. Sometimes that's where the real work starts.

Therapy should have somewhere to go. Sometimes we need a session to vent, process, or just figure out what's going on. That's part of the work. But I don't want you coming to therapy indefinitely without knowing what we're working toward.

Who I am

EMDR-TrainedTeens & adultsSouthlake + virtual

I work with high-achievers who are running on empty. Because insight isn't the same thing as change. And sometimes, your body needs to be part of the work too.

I'm warm, and I'm direct. You're already an incredibly capable human. That doesn't mean you have to keep white-knuckling your way through life.
